JointRenu®

Non-surgical treatments and therapies for various peripheral joint and MSK conditions and pain.

JointRenu Overview

JointRenu treatments focus on general musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions. This incudes treatments for joints, ligaments, cartilage, tendons, bones, muscles, nerves, and other connective tissues. Conditions treated include things like joint osteoarthris, tendonopathy, connective tissue injuries and disorders, damaged or entraped nerves, intramuscular tears, nonunion fractures, osteonecrosis, etc.

Qualified physicians who have been trained with proper MSK diagnostics skills, regenerative orthopedic therapies, and image-guided injection techniques. Often physicians have specialties in orthopedic surgery, spine, sports medicine, physical medicine & rehabilitation (PM&R) or physiatry, anesthesiology, pain management, etc.

Yes. JointRenu procedures are minimally invasive and typcially non-surgical. JointRenu treatments are generally delivered via injection and most can be performed in an outpatient setting. Some minimally invasive surgeries may use JointRenu procedures as an augmentation to the surgery.

What the doctor will use in your JointRenu procedure depends on your diagnosed condition and professional judgement of the physician. The treating physician may use PRP (Platelet-rich Plasma) or some other orthobiologic therapy in the procedure.

PRP is Platelet-Rich Plasma. PRP is derived from your own blood and contains platelets and growth factors naturally occuring in your blood. The physician draws your blood and processes it to separate the red blood cells and access the platelets in the plasma. The PRP is then used in targeted therapies as determined by the physician at the bedside in a same-day procedure.

MSK Conditions Addressed

Yes. Through a combination of MRI and/or ultrasound diagnostic and physical examination, your physician will diagnose the level of osteoarthritis you are experiencing and determine the appropriate treatment plan. The JointRenu interventional approach may include joint injections using various orthobiologics.

Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis and can lead to the degeneration of cartilage in your joints, including: knees, hands, hips, shoulders, and spine (facet joints).

JointRenu procedures can help address ligament and tendon tears, including ACL tears. The physician will perform an ultrasound diagnosis to determine the grade of tear or defect in the ligament, and then create the treatment plan specific to your need and condition.

Ligaments and tendons help give support to joints and other complex structures. JointRenu procedures can provide therapies to supplement repair of defects, tears, and general degeneration of ligaments and tendons to help tighten up the supporting structure.

Yes, JointRenu has procedures for Tennis and Golf Elbow. Elbow pain can inhibit your performance on the court or the course, but it can be painful to even open a door. JointRenu outpatient procedures delivered by qualified physicians can help you alleviate pain, restore function, and avoid surgery.

Shoulder pain can be caused from many sources and conditions. A proper diagnosis by a skilled MSK professional can not only identify your pain generator but determine the proper, targeted therapy to help fix the root cause, not just mask the pain with a cortisone injection.

You may have a Rotator Cuff Tear, Soulder Labrum Tear, Shoulder Joint Osteoarthritis, or a complex scapula condition. Because the shoulder is a verify mobile and highly utilitized joint, you may have multiple conditions that can be treated to reduce pain and restore function and mobility.
